Privacy policy and cookies

1. Data controller

arifaksuoglu.com is a personal information website owned by Arif Aksuoğlu (Samsun, Türkiye). It does not represent any company, including my employer. The data controller under Turkish Law No. 6698 (KVKK) is Arif Aksuoğlu; contact: aksuogluarif55@gmail.com.

2. What data do we process?

• Contact form: the name, (optional) company, approximate annual consumption, message and page language you submit. This reaches me through our hosting provider Netlify.
• Calculators (bill, solar/GES, EV): the values you enter are processed in your browser and are not sent to or stored on our servers.
• Server logs: technical data such as IP address, browser information and visit time are kept automatically by the hosting provider (Netlify) for security and operation.
• Preference record: your cookie choice is stored in your browser’s local storage (strictly necessary; it does not identify you).
• Advertising and measurement cookies (Google Ads, Google AdSense, Google Analytics): enabled only if you click “Accept”. Google Analytics produces visit statistics (which pages are viewed how often, general location and device information).

3. Purpose and legal basis

We process your form data to answer your enquiry and plan a possible call, at your request and on the basis of our legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5/2-c and f). Advertising and measurement cookies rely solely on your explicit consent (KVKK Art. 5/1), which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Recipients and international transfers

• Netlify, Inc. (USA): hosting, form delivery and server logs.
• Google (USA/EU): ad delivery, conversion and visit measurement (Google Analytics), only if you consent. Google processes data under its own privacy policy; information about advertising partners: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
• Market and news data providers (EPİAŞ, Yahoo Finance, news RSS feeds): data is fetched for site content; visitors’ personal data is not sent to these sources.
• Because these providers are located abroad, submitting the form or accepting cookies means your data is transferred outside Türkiye.

5. Retention

Form messages are kept as long as needed to answer your enquiry and for possible follow-up, and are deleted when no longer needed. Server logs are kept according to the hosting provider’s policy.

6. Cookies

• Strictly necessary: remembering your cookie choice (local storage). No consent required.
• Advertising and measurement (Google Ads/AdSense/Analytics): depend on your consent. If you reject, no cookies or advertising identifiers are used; Google may only receive anonymous, limited signals.
• You can change your choice at any time with the button below or the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; for Google ad settings visit adssettings.google.com.

7. Your rights (KVKK Art. 11)

You may ask whether your data is processed, request information, correction or deletion, learn which third parties receive it, object, and claim compensation for damage. Send requests to aksuogluarif55@gmail.com; they are answered within 30 days.

8. Children

This site is not directed at people under 18 and does not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated; the current version is always published on this page.
